Howie “Deuce” Cohen had a dream. So he started the Pelham Parkway Neighborhood reunions in 1980. Not a school reunion, but a neighborhood reunion that brought together all of the wonderful people that at one time or another lived in the "Pelham Parkway” section of the Bronx. All generations who lived in the greatest of neighborhoods. Howard started having Pelham Parkway reunions in September of 1980. The reunions are now being held all over the United States. It has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams. We believe if you are with a group of 25 people or more and you mention Pelham Parkway another person in the group will speak up and say I'm from Pelham Parkway. Howie is now a proud grandpa to 7 (COUNT ’EM) seven Grandchildren, and of course his understanding wife Chickie is the grandma

Chuck Gitlin (C-MAN) after re-meeting Howie (Thru their children no less) after 30 years and going to each of the reunions starting from the first, decided to start a publication dedicated to the neighborhood. With Howie’s help it has developed as an adjunct to Howies dream. Holy cow, now even Chuck is a grandpop to three.
