Howie ”Deuce” Cohen had a dream. So started the Pelham Parkway Neighborhood reunions in 1980. Not a school reunion, but a neighborhood reunion that brought together all of the people from all generations who lived in the greatest of neighborhoods. It has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams. It happens every three years with kissing and hugging as never before. Howie is now a proud grandpa to 7 (COUNT ’EM) seven Grandchildren, and of course his understanding wife Chickie is the grandma.

Chuck Gitlin after meeting Howie (Thru their children no less) after 30 years and going to each of the reunions starting from the first, decided to start a publication dedicated to the neighborhood. With Howie’s help it has developed as an adjunct to Howies dream. Holy cow, now, even Chuck is a grandpop to Three Grandchildren
